Monte Maria and the Caves Visit by the shepherd and The beautiful south-coast

Let us take you through a relaxing tour of the Monte Maria forests. You can take an easy stroll through the native flora, and stop by the forestry service to enjoy and breathtaking views of Monte Maria and Monte Filau. Our extensive tour will teach you all you need to know about the wildlife and Mediterranean flora of the area, as well as its unique geography.

As we travel towards a local Teulada village, we will drive through the mountain road so that you can view more of the beautiful environment, as well as the Sant’Antioco and San Pietro islands.

Along the mountain road we stop at the most beautiful drop stone grotto of Europe " Is Zuddas. The cave is full of rarities and beauty.

Natural sculptures and concretions

The village is also home to the mountainous S’acqua Salia shepherding farm. It even has a private museum, where you can learn all about how the locals farm and harvest their crops. After a tour of the museum and some sight-seeing of the area, the shepherd himself will offer you some local cuisine. You can enjoy some goat cheese, fresh bread, olives, “bread of coccoi,” sausage, and Teulada’s famous local pizza; all paired with a fantastic Sardinian wine, of course.

We'll visit the pretty old smoke-houses for cheese too. The smell of the centuries in here is amazing

The shepherds sculptures

The sculpture of the shepherd telling us stories about the history and the people. He is not only shepherd but also a very good artist. The quality of all the things he do reach a very high level. Once you tried his products and you saw the place it will stay in your memory as one of the most beautiful experiences of your life.

Everything is decorated

The whole place is a museum. The flair of the landhouse is a mix of history, art surrounded by mountain panorama. The smell of hundreds of different flowers and plants specially in spring is a experience.

Brunch or Lunch

After an excellent brunch with local specialities and carignano wine or a typical sardinian lunch with a lot of different antipasti, handmade ravioli, capra in umido or grilled, typical sweets like "Seadas" or fruits, coffee and Mirto, Grappa or Limoncello

Relax a little in the shade under the aromatic lentisk trees

Sitting a little enjoying the panorama and the silent of this wonderful place without any sound of the civilisation.


Once you’re completely satisfied with this secret Sardinia wonder, we will drive along the coast road so that you have a great view of the breathtaking south-coast of Sardinia, back to your hotel.

Start at 8:30 am from Cagliari and ends around 04:30 pm depending on the choice with lunch or brunch.

If you choose lunch we'll visit the caves and the market (only monday) in the morning.
