Primary Care Network Opportunities in Prince George Seeking qualified Family Physicians and Nurse Practitioners for Primary Care Networks in Prince George, British Columbia

Primary Care Networks

Bring your clinical expertise and passion for providing quality, compassionate care to a challenging and rewarding role as a Family Physician/General Practitioner or Nurse Pracitioner for a Primary Care Network (PCN) in Prince George, British Columbia.

This is an excellent opportunity to be a part of the initiative to help make health care in BC more patient-centered, and help influence an emerging, local team-based care model, supported by other family physicians, nurse practitioners, and registered nurses, with access to mental health and substance use clinicians.

Family Physicians and Nurse Practitioners working within Primary Care Networks will be remunerated through ‘Service Contracts’, which will be administered by the regional health authority; however, health care professionals engaged through these contracts will be independent contractors. Recruitment for this role is initially targeted to family physicians and nurse practitioners who do not currently have a patient panel in the province. A new Service Contract will also be developed and offered to established primary care providers with existing patient panels who wish to participate in a team-based primary care practice.

The Service Contract will require you to work 1680 hours (pro-rated for part-time positions) and approximately 220 days per year, providing you with flexibility and genuine work/life balance.

For more information on compensation, please contact Health Match BC at pcn@healthmatchbc.org to determine your eligibility to apply for a PCN contract.

Arrangements between the family physicians or nurse practitioners and the clinics regarding overhead costs will be determined privately among both parties.
