Gideon Destiny veitch

Step 1: Sin- God said that in his eyes, the Israelites did wrong.

Step 2: Oppress- God delivered them into the hands of the Midianites

Step 3: Repent- "And Israel was greatly impoverished because of the Midianites; and the children of Israel cried unto the Lord." ... "That the Lord sent a prophet unto the children of Israel, which said unto them, Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, I brought you up from Egypt, and brought you forth out of the house of bondage." God saw that they were suffering and that they were sorry. God said that he brought them there and that he could get them out.

Step 4: Deliver- "And I delivered you out of the hand of the Egyptians, and out of the hand of all that oppressed you, and drave them out from before you, and gave you their land" God delivered them out of Egypt and out off the hands of those who were basically taking captive of him.

Step 5: Peace- "And the country was in quietness forty years in the days of Gideon." The country experienced peace and quietness for forty years.

Characteristics of Gideon

Insecure: Gideon questions God and test him because he doesn't think that he can lead the war because Gideon is from the smallest tribe. Gideon tested God multiple times before he thinks that he can do this.

Strong: Gideon was strong because he defeated the Midianites.

Faithful: Gideon had to put everything into his God from going from over 30,000 to only 300, it takes a lot of faith to send your whole army home and be able to know that 300 will be okay.

Appreciative: Gideon has a dream and interprets it as God has given the Midianites and the whole camp into Gideon's hands. He instantly bows down and worships his God.
