Review of Saal Digital Acrylic Prints

I have enjoyed having the opportunity to review an Acrylic Print, by Saal Digital, of one of my landscape photographs. I decided that this would be a great opportunity to print out a recent photograph of a retreating thunderstorm in alpenglow light...

The German printing company offer a wide range of print surfaces: including fine art giclee papers, canvas and aluminium di-bond to name but a few.

I opted for the high-quality acrylic glass in a depth of 5mm, 10mm is available too. The thoughtful construction process ensures edges are deburred, so they are pleasantly smooth. The print I received is delightfully vibrant and highly detailed, so the six-colour direct UV process printing inks that they use are definitely of a high-quality.

The optical properties of the acrylic seems to bestow it with an almost tangible depth, like a Trompe-l'œil painting - which gives it an contemporary appeal.

I have seen varying qualities of acrylic prints from various manufacturers and some are very poor indeed. I can say in all honestly that the acrylic print I received from Saal Digital is outstandingly produced.

Their software was easy to use for uploading the photograph and ordering was an easy process. Customer service was smooth and courteous, email confirmation and delivery details were dealt with swiftly and smoothly. The package was very well wrapped and the print arrived in perfect condition, ready to be hung from its hidden aluminium sub-frame (other wall mounting options are available).

I will very happily be adding Saal's Acrylic Prints as a modern, appealing option to my customers.
