Tips and tricks for scrap booking backgrounds

Finding balance

You don't want your scrap book to be too busy. You need to find balance. Ex.) symmetry and asymmetry. You sometimes want symmetry based on what picture you're using but then you sometimes want asymmetry.

Understanding margins

You not only have to follow the template given to you, but also have to know where to place the margin (heading) in the correct place so it looks nice.

Unity

Unity means when the title corresponds to the pictures or when the designs correspond to the pictures and title. Like this picture for example. You can't have a father-daughter theme with two fish as the pictures , that doesn't have unity and doesn't make sense. Unity is the key to scrap booking.

Repetition

When you make a scrap book, you should have repetition because it's based on one thing, not ten different topics in one scrapbook. You need repetition to 'be on topic' or stay on the title that you chose. Ex.) 'family' - family photos only.

Color usage

You should use a lot of color in your scrap book. If you don't it will not be intriguing. Also no one wants to look at a boring scrap book.
