Week 6, Autumn 1 We escaped. for a bit…

Let’s start with the big event. We got out. Only to the museum, but at least it was out! We had a great time exploring the Stone Age sections, looking at the fossils and having a general wander around. Hopefully we have added to our Stone Age knowledge! We have a follow up via a TEAMS call museum on Monday to become even more expert.
The reason for all this was that now we have put our team together, it was time to do some work. We received an envelope with a very short note and some not very good photographs. We had a think about what they could be before telephoning M Le Blanc to find out more. I’m not ignoring the children! I’m ‘on the phone’ in the role of M Le Blanc. We didn’t get very much. I’m not sure he trusted us as a team (The History Action Team) very much so we thought about past investigations and…
…had a go at writing them down in the form of a basic report. I’m not sure we’ll send them through just yet.
We had a go at drawing our own versions of some of the images we had been ‘sent’. We had to hide some of the less earthy toned colours we had!
Hockey again! We are definitely getting better.
Maths and English saw us counting on and back in 4s, 8s and 50s, bar charting and writing our No More Marking (an independent piece of writing that many people will look at!) with a space theme.
In what was a short science session following the museum, we had a look at the structure of the Earth. Hopefully we now know the very subtle difference between lava and magma!
