Celebrating 100 years of Excellence in LESD

🌟It’s time to show your Litchfield spirit!🌟

We are having a District-wide spirit week leading up to our 100th Year Centennial Celebration! Themes for the week:

Monday: “Fashions Fade, Character Lasts Forever” (Dress in any decade)

Tuesday: “Transformation Tuesday” (Wear your butterfly fashion or dress as someone you admire or aspire to be).

Wednesday: “Light Up Litchfield” (Wear neon)

Thursday: “100 Golden Years” (Wear gold colors or gold accessories)

Friday: “I Have ‘Tutu’ Much School Spirit” (Wear your school spirit wear and/or tutus)

We're Having a Cook Out..Come Join Us on Friday!

All VIP's of students are invited to a campus cookout with their student. Hamburger and hotdog meal will be served for $3. After lunch head on over to the library to purchase some books at the book fair.

Lunch times are as follows:

1st Grade - 10:20 am-10:40 am - Recess follows until 11:00 am

3rd Grade - 10:40 am-11:00 am - Recess follows until 11:20 am

5th Grade - 11:00 am-11:20 am - Recess follows until 11:40 am

2nd Grade - 11:20 am - 11:40 am - Recess follows until 12:00 pm

4th Grade - 11:40 am - 12:00 pm - Recess follows until 12:20 pm

Kinder is on a field trip this day having a blast with the animals!

After March 10th, we will only be accepting Cash for Yearbook Orders!

Just a friendly reminder that students need to wear gym shoes to physical education class each week including to Mrs. Jordan's Friday elective classes in order to fully participate. Below is the weekly PE schedule:

Mondays - Williams, DePaulis, Gooszen, Banks, Carter, Alm, Wilson

Tuesdays - Luckow, Armstrong, Backus, Hampton, Joseph, Fournier, Usher, Prieve

Wednesdays - Bianchi, Keen, Merrbaugh, Reilly, Townes, Whelpley, Ezzell, Mazon

Thursdays - Rea, Richards, Kapla, Koch, Walker, Brown, Salerno, Schneider

Friday - Enright, Sandner, along with rock climbing (K-3) and flag football (4-5) elective classes

Cardio Club is off and running (literally!). As a school we have completed over 850 miles!

Students interested in Cardio Club participate every Tuesday and Thursday morning during recess (7:10-7:30 am). Cardio Club is open to all PVE students and no registration is required! Students just need to meet outside of the cafeteria to get their card. Prizes are awarded when students complete their first mile and then every five miles after that.

Become a Parent Volunteer!

If you are looking to volunteer but haven't gone through training, PVE is having Volunteer Training Tuesday, February 7, at 8:00 AM, after morning drop-off. Just come into the front office to check-in and they will direct you to training. Future Volunteer Training dates for February are Friday, February 10 at 8:00 AM, Monday, February 13, at 8:00 AM, Thursday, February 16, at 8:00 AM, and Friday, February 24, at 8:00 AM.

Palm Valley Elementary PTO News & Upcoming Events

Please join us at our Book Fair starting February 6th - 11th. The Book Fair will be open during the VIP Dance as well!

Saturday, February 11th from 5:30 to 7:30pm

Join our PTO on Saturday, February 11th at Palm Valley Elementary School We've rolled out the red carpet for this event! Students- Bring your VIP (very important person)- Mom, Dad, Aunt, Uncle, Grandma, Grandpa, etc. This will be a night of dancing with a DJ, photo booth, crafts, and snacks. Dress your best! Book fair will also be open this evening.

Mark your Calendars for our next PTO meeting which is scheduled for February 21st at 6pm in the library!

Do you or someone you know enjoy golfing? Consider joining our Annual PVE Golf Tournament and Luncheon. If you don't golf you are still welcome to join us for lunch, our silent auction and raffle.

AzMERIT Testing - Save the Dates

Students in grades 3-5 will take the AzMERIT state assessment April 10th through April 28th. This is a test of students’ progress in learning Arizona’s Academic Standards for reading, writing, and math. Below are the testing dates for 3rd – 5th grade:
