The start of the month saw me at Macclesfield for the 1st round FA Cup match against Oxford United 400 brave souls made the 298 mile trip to the Rose Bowl to watch a 0-0 thriller.

The following day I was at Blackburn where the high flying Brighton came to visit

Veteran striker Glenn Murray then adds the winner to seal Blackburns fate and move the seagulls up to the top of the Championship

The tragic events in Columbia where the Chapecoense football team where killed in plane crash overshadowed the weekends games where football came together in paying their respects to the deceased

My team Bolton Wanderers took on Sheffield United in the FA Cup they are one of our rivals in the bid for promotion from League one

Goals from Gary Madine and Josh Vela saw us safely through to the third round with Crystal palace and Big Sam Allardyce coming back to his spiritual home.

A foggy encounter saw non league Lincoln City take on Oldham Athletic at Sincil Bank, with Lincoln winning 3-2

Two goals Theo Robinson and Terry Hawkridge break Oldham's hearts in the FA Cup

Eddie Howes Bournemouth where next up at Turf Moor which is becoming a fortress where Burnley are winning a lot of their home games in the bid to stay in the promised land of the Premier League

Stephen Ward and George Boyd put Burnley in front and Benik Afobe shows his dejection after seeing a goal disallowed in the dying seconds

An amazing sky at the start of the visit of West ham to Anfield with Liverpool scraping a 2-2 draw after a blunder from goal keeper Darren Randolph

Next up was Gillingham at the Macron Stadium a televised game where we demolished the Gills 4-1 with goal from Madine, Vela and Sammy Ameobi

Back off to Anfield again after a shaky start Liverpool beat stoke 4-1 with goals from Adam Lallana, Roberto Firmino, Daniel Sturridge and an own goal from City

My final game of the Month was back at the Macron to see Bolton take on table topping Scunthorpe United we managed to to beat them 2-1 with goal from Josh Vela and James Henry coming up with a winner deep into stoppage time to send the mighty trotters back into the promotion places much to the delight of the home crowd
