Rodney King.

Rodney King was an African American taxi driver who was a victim of a violent police beating after leading LAPD on a high speed automobile chase on March 3, 1991.

After finally being pulled over by LAPD, Rodney King was very violently beaten by four LAPD officers.

This event caused riots to take place in LA, and all over the world. This was the first major offense of police officers being violent with a black man.
The event and the riots caused by it are meaningful and history because it cause lots of African Americans to have a bad view on police officers.
This event had a negative impact on history and negatively affected African Americans, and police officers.
King suffered 11 fractures in the beating.
The riots left more than 50 people dead and over 2,000 injured.
