In 2016, the Burts were able to find a traditional lender to purchase the town’s historic Fire Hall which they had been leasing, but they struggled to find a lender to upgrade their brewing system. During the past summers when the tourist market was at its peak and customers were thirsty, the brewery would even run out of beer occasionally. It was time to grow.

Then they heard about the Rural Opportunities Loan Fund. Through the loan from TEDD, the couple was able to expand to a seven barrel brewing system and hire an additional employee.
