My wife Amber Slater has always been a fan of import cars. She has owned several in her life including a Honda Civic, Mitsubishi Eclipse, Hyundai Tiburon and now a Hyundai Genesis

Here is a picture of what the Genesis looked like when we bought it. It was completely stock and approximately two years old.

The very thing that had to be purchased for the car was a new set of wheels or shoes as we like to call them. She searched all over the internet until she found the perfect set to match her vision for the car.

Once the new shoes were installed it was time to get the stance (ride height) just right. This part of customizing a car is essential because in order to do it tastefully the correct springs must be ordered.

So far her hard work and vision has paid off because she has won best Hyundai at one show and 2nd place in the new car class at another show

Now that we have discussed her love for Imports let's discuss my love for muscle cars. I currently own a 2016 Dodge Charger Scat Pack. This car is my current project and is only two months in the making. My previous car was a 2015 Dodge Charger R/T.

On my 2015 R/T I decided to make it stand out by installing a set of custom headlights. These headlights were new to the market and took some serious modifications for them to work, but the look was worth the effort.

In addition to the custom headlights I had to upgrade the stereo system because I can not stand stock speakers. This was a mild setup compared to my other builds but it definitely did the job.

The honest reason I traded in the 2015 R/T is because it wasn't fast enough. I got beat at the drag strip by a Honda and it did not sit well with me. Here is a pic of the Scat Pack with the 6.4L V8 instead of the 5.7L V8.

Now that the tint and wheels were done I had to make the Scat Pack even faster. I bought a dyno proven Legmaker cold air intake.

All my efforts seemed to pay off so far because i have won two trophies as well. I won best Mopar at one and top 25 at another. However, I guess you can say that my wife has the upper hand on me right now because she has finished higher in one of them.
