Throwback Thursday Memphis, Tennessee

A month ago, I experienced a place that changed my life. While I was told there would be something unique about Memphis. I didn't expect to see, hear, taste and smell all what it had to offer.

Beef Brisket

Many folks know me as a lover of food. While that's true to an extent, I see myself as a person that lives to eat. Memphis is a place where It's known for BBQ. Folks let me tell you. I never had beef brisket that was so tender and full of flavor that I wanted more after eating it. Then to taste the Memphis style cole slaw had me loving the tanginess hours after.

Hot and Spicy Fried Chicken

Fried Chicken. The staple of the South. I would come back to eat this chicken. What's so special about it? Well, it's the flavor. I don't know how they cook it but I was savoring every bite. It wasn't overly hot but just the right amount of kick that made my mouth water.

One of the best breakfast places I've experienced!

Pulled turkey sandwich and awesome greens.

Fresh Cinnamon Almonds

Cinnamon Pecans.

Yep, this is the largest Bass Pro Shops around. They even have a 101 room hotel inside.

Many should recognize this place. It was fuel for the road trip to Memphis.

I can't wait to travel back to this city and experience more food and adventure. Who knows, I might try out the Bass Pro Shops hotel and share my experience with you. Until then, live legendary
