Bible Readings second week of advent

The theme for the second week of Advent is turn. What does it mean to turn? Is it positive or negative? Have you ever watched a situation and hoped that it would turn around? Talk about these questions before you begin your readings this week.

While you read the passage from Luke this week, consider how Mary's life turned, as well as how all of humanity turned through her decision. Also, look at the shoot of Jesse in the Isaiah passage and think about how God has never turned from His plan for us. Can your family find another favorite verse to memorize? Perhaps you can make a poster of it. Do any of the passages remind you of a favorite Christmas song? Be sure to sing it!
