Arrival in Cagliari: Transfer from the Airport Cagliari to the Hotel. Welcome Dinner with the whole group.

First Day: Pictures of Cagliari

First Day

In the morning; City-tour with beautiful panorama points, a stop at the flamingo lakes, stop at the city beach and a visit of the local market. Afternoon; a relaxed walk through the ancient castle with a visit of the Museum, the tower of San Pancrazio, Kings palace, cathedral and the bastion of San Remy. At the end we bring you to a amazing ice-caffe with the best ice-cream of Sardinia Island. Shopping

Second Day: Pictures of the south coast and Sant'Antioco

Second Day

We drive down the beautiful south-coast to the peninsula Sant'Antioco. Along the road we stop in different panorama points with a amazing view over the turquoise shining bay's. Along the coast we give you precious informations about history, nature and wildlife. At the island we'll visit the last master of marine byssus in the world. This is a incredible experience. Then we go to visit the catacombs under the Basilica of the protector of the island Sardinia. The church has been build in the 5th century a.c. and is one of the oldest on the island. Back to the main land we show you a enchanting coastline of the west-coast. On the way through the fascinating mining area of the mountain we'll have a stop where we present you the queen. Before we reach Cagliari you'll see varied landscapes with castle, salt lakes and a breath taking panorama over the golf of Cagliari.

Third Day: Pictures of San Sperate, the roman thermal bath and Su Gorropu

Third Day

You check out the hotel and we pick you up heading in north east direction. Our first stop is at San Sperate where we visit the sound stone garden of Pinuccio Sciola. Here you can hear for the first time in you life the sound of the universe. Then a relaxing walk through the streets of the town which is decorated with more than 500 wall paintings. We move on to in direction to the center of Sardinia. On the way we have two choices; first we stop at the roman thermal bath where you can relax in the basins of the river, second we can visit the amazing sanctuary "Pozzo di Santa Christina" build around 1100 b.c. We drive then through the charming mountains of Oliena to the Hotel Rifuggio di Su Gorropu. It's a charming place in the middle of the mountains with a incredible view over the canyon and the mountains. The local food is highest quality and all handmade. This is your chance to experience the true Sardinia. The oldest family of the world is living in this mountains and there is the highest concentration of over hundred years old people in Europe.

Fourth Day: Pictures of the valley Lanaittu

Fourth Day

Visit in the museum of Dorgali. It's rich of archeological treasures of different periods, stone age, Nuraghical (bronze age), Phoenician and Roman periods. You need this knowledge before we go to visit the Nuraghe of Sos Carros where we are heading then. We enter in the fascinating valley of Lanaittu. Moving in this area it seams that time stand still thousands of years. It's magical place where we visit the water temple of the Nuraghical Population, the grotto " Sa Oche e Su Bentu, the grotto Corbeddu where they found human rests of 25600 years ago and which was the shelter of the most famous bandit. On the way back we have a walk to visit the deepest natural water source.

Fifth Day: Mamoiada, Winery and the Christus of Galtellì

Fifth Day

We drive to Mamoiada. The town is famous for the original Sardinian Carnival and the incredible tasty wine. First we visit the museum of the masks. Then we'll have wine tasting with local delicacies by the most famous wine producer in this area. In the afternoon we go to the charming medieval town Galtellì where we drive up to the top of the mountain to visit the big bronze statue of Jesus on a cross 12m high. The panorama from up here is breathtaking. A view over the Golf of Orosei, the mountains over Lula and Supramonti.

Sixth Day

A tour to the Island La Maddalena along the gorgeous coastline of the Costa Smeralda. We take the ferry (20 min) to the Island from where we drive to the House of Giuseppe Garibaldi. The Visit will take more or less one hour. You will love this place. The house is a big museum with a lot of interesting stories to tell as well as amazing views to the south part of Corsica island. In the afternoon after a relaxed walk in the city we move back to Palau, where you have time for some shopping. In alternative we drive up to the rock of the bear a huge granite rock, the symbol of the town.

Seventh Day

Seventh Day: Along the road

After breakfast first of all we charge our luggage in the car. Then we drive down to the Port of Cala Gonone from where we do a little boats tour to the wonderful bay of Cala Luna. In case it's a windy day we'll do a boats tour on the lake near Dorgali. Both of the tours are breath taking for the incredible landscapes. Then we drive back in direction to Cagliari. On the way we'll have a stop at the nuragical fortress Nurage Losa. This building is unbelievable and it will be your Indiana Jones experience on our tour. We'll reach the city in the late afternoon. You check in your hotel where you refresh and relaxe a little before I pick you up to the best restaurant for fish in Cagliari.

Back home

Departure Day

You check out the Hotel, we pick you up and bring to the Airport.
