National CrossFit Day By Niah Galvan, March 1

Most people ask what is CrossFit. Well CrossFit is the functional movements constantly varied at a high intensity.

Katrín Davidsdóttir is an Icelandic CrossFit athlete that is know for her four appearances at the CrossFit Games. Katrín' s age is 23 and Fittest Woman on Earth 2015.

I believe CrossFit should be celebrated on June 21st, because that's a couple weeks after most kids get out of school. And that's around the time when the weather is really nice and you can go lift some weights and enjoy the weather also. This will be celebrated as a CrossFit hangout at the gym, competition, and cookout.

Most people don't think CrossFit through and think it is just a gym to go lose weight. CrossFit is a active gym full of determination, power, motivation, lifting, and beasts. CrossFit changes most people's physical skills and helps them improve their indurance, powers, and abilities.

You are at CrossFit to fight and work your hardest to reach your goals, and to get physically and mentally get in the fittest shape. CrossFit brings out the powers and strength in you, that you never knew you had.

Greg Glassman founded CrossFit, he was a former gymnast and personal trainer.

At CrossFit some workouts are named salute fallen soilders. Murphy was 29 when he was killed in Afghanistan in 2005. One of his favorite CrossFit workouts was renamed "Murph" in honor. That workout consist of one-mile run, followed by 100 pull-ups, 200 push-ups, 300 squats, and topped of with another one-mile run.

The first workouts that were CrossFit related was for the sheriff’s department in Santa Cruz.

Most CrossFitters are women, out of 10 millions self-described CrossFitters, around 60 percent are woman.

There are hundreds of CrossFit exercises.

CrossFit is very competitive, and very aggressive. You need to be going into that gym and be fierce to accomplish a brand-new workout.

Crossfit normall raises money to good causes. Crossfit raises money through “Crossfit for hope." About 100% of the donations go to charity.

The truth is, CrossFit is hard. But that why it's so entertaining and hard. One of the best things about Crossfit is that, you get the chance to improve within a community.
