2016 SEASON OVERVIEW
Under the guidance of first-year Head Coach Adam Gase, the 2016 season saw the Dolphins finish with a 10-6 record and earn a berth in the playoffs for the first time since 2008. After starting the 2016 season with a 1-4 record, the Dolphins utilized a six-game winning streak to help put themselves in playoff position. With a new canopy and a modernized stadium, the Dolphins wasted no time establishing a home-field advantage at Hard Rock Stadium.
2016 NFL DRAFT
The Dolphins On The Clock 2016 NFL Draft Party presented by Miami Orthopedics & Sports Medicine Institute at Baptist Health South Florida did not disappoint. The free event featured live insider analysis, current and former player autographs, interactive games, photo opportunities, concessions and areas to watch the 2016 NFL Draft. The room exploded with excitement when the Dolphins selected Ole Miss OT Laremy Tunsil at number 13.
HARD ROCK STADIUM ANNOUNCEMENT
2016 marked the inaugural year of Hard Rock Stadium. On August 17th, 2016, the announcement of Hard Rock Stadium was made in the exact way you would expect: music, memorabilia, lights and a guitar smashing ceremony. The Miami Dolphins welcomed Hard Rock International CEO, Jim Allen to participate in the festivities, alongside players Ndamukong Suh, Jarvis Landry and Reshad Jones, and Dolphins President & CEO Tom Garfinkel. Oh, and of course, Mr. 305 himself, Pitbull!
CANOPY AND VIDEOBOARD UNVEIL
With the new state-of-the-art open air canopy, 92% of fans are shaded and protected from the natural elements, making Hard Rock Stadium’s game-day experience one of the best in the NFL. Fans can enjoy the game from any seat on every level with four new high-definition video boards, totaling 22,400 square footage. A special thank you to Hunt Construction on the completion of the Canopy!
The Miami Dolphins Foundation hosted a successful 20th annual Fins Weekend. Proceeds from the event weekend, through the educational pillar of the Miami Dolphins foundation, benefit city year Miami, an education-focused nonprofit organization that partners with public schools to help keep students on track to graduate. The festivities began early Friday morning with the celebrity golf tournament at Crandon golf in Key Biscayne. After the golf tournament, guests gathered inside a tent at the Miami Beach Marina to revel in music, local food vendors and the year's largest gathering of player, coaches, alumni, and cheerleaders. Saturday morning a total of 50 boats participated in the fins weekend fishing tournament.
HUNT CONSTRUCTION AT FINS WEEKEND
Hunt Construction received an amazing hospitality experience during the 20th annual Fins Weekend. To begin the Weekend, Pat Delano, his celebrity foursome, and four (4) other groups hit the Key Biscayne Golf course on a beautiful Friday morning.
Following the golf tournament, the Hunt Construction group reconvened at the clubhouse for the Awards Ceremony for lunch and awards. One Hunt Construction member even walked away with a set of Bose Speakers.
Friday night was the infamous Captain's party, the interior of the tent had an amazing "laid back" island feel. There was also a plethora of food options available to soak up the drink taken at the open bar. Hunt Construction received thirty (30) tickets to the party and one (1) reserved table to the event and all attendees had an amazing time.
The following day, Hunt Construction received five (5) boat entries and thirty (30) tickets to the Saturday Night Awards Ceremony Party. Along with the hospitality throughout the weekend, Hunt received signage recognition throughout the weekend.
The Miami Dolphins Training Camp unveiled several exciting changes geared to improve the fan experience as part of “Back to Football powered by South Florida Ford” at the Baptist Health Training Facility at Nova Southeastern University. This year’s training camp featured a brand new canopy over the seated area, providing fans with shade and a more comfortable experience than ever before. A new area reserved for children 12 years old and younger provided them with special access to get autographs from Dolphins players post practice. In addition, weekend practices featured food trucks, interactive games, and face painting.
HUNT CONSTRUCTION VIP TRAINING CAMP
On July 29th, Hunt Construction and twenty (20) guests received a VIP Training Camp experience at the Baptist Health Training Facility. The experience included a light continental breakfast, tour of the facility, and opportunity for player autographs. The VIP experience allowed the Hunt Construction group to watch practice from the coverage of shade with refreshments readily available.
USE OF STADIUM
Included within the Hunt Construction partnership is the ability to use Hard Rock Stadium to host one (1) event. Hard Rock Stadium has a number of marvelous locations to host corporate events such as the Hyundai Club, the 72 Club, and the Samsung Preview Center just to name a few. With this asset, the use of the stadium fee would be waived for Hunt Construction and all that would need to be taken care of is the Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, and Guest Services fees. Hunt Construction has until Apr 1st to activate this asset.
