Athletic Endurance A multi-sport advantage By: Joseph Pappas

Participating in a variety of sports provides an athlete with skills that are acquired through unique sport specific movements, and should be encouraged by parents and coaches of high school athletes.

Running is the most common way to improve an athlete's cardiovascular endurance, allowing them to perform at peak levels for extended periods of time.

For a variety of sports, weight-lifting is utilized by coaching staffs to increase an athletes physical strength.

The ultimate pursuit for athletes is to win championships.

Without hard work and training these athletes would never have reached the pinnacle of athletics.

The best teams will have adequately prepared their bodies for the challenges of a season, without endurance the team surely would have lost.
