Debbie Reifer Singer | Songwriter | Recording artist

... she starts to sing and something magical happens. - Living Barbados Magazine

BIO

Well-known for her laid back vocal style and medium tempo grooves, Debbie Reifer is a Barbados Music Awards nominated singer, songwriter and live performer. Her music has been featured in several film and TV projects, most notably receiving placement in Season 5 of the Emmy Award winning Showtime Television Series, "Ray Donovan”, where her song “Amber” can be heard.

Though she only started her professional musical journey in 2012, Debbie Reifer’s writing style and music speaks volumes. Heavily influenced by renowned artists Sade, Amel Larrieux and Corinne Bailey Rae, her childhood pursuit has evolved into a passion which has produced music that is deeply soulful and wonderfully human.

More than just a songwriter, she’s graced the stage at the legendary Redbones Cafe in Jamaica, the historic House of Blues in LA, the Naniki Music Festival in Barbados and the superstar wedding of A-list American designer Erin Fetherston and rocker Gabe Saporta. Her captivating performance at their Barbados nuptials landed her a recommendation from Martha Stewart Weddings. She was one of only two Caribbean acts chosen in a list of 27 bands. Debbie was also honored to perform for Prince Andrew, the Duke of York during the 2014 unveiling of the luxury resort Port Ferdinand in Barbados.

Currently, Debbie has been busy with film and TV music placements. Her self-penned song "We Are Love" has been enjoying success as the chosen theme song for Barbados' 2018 European Marketing Campaign, and the contemplative "The Ruin" was aired on the YouTube series "Sideswiped", Episode 2.
