From midnight until close to 2 a.m., Penn Staters thought there was a real clown running around campus, leading swarms of students to run all over campus trying to take it down. Ultimately police said there wasn’t a clown found, but we definitely had fun following the crowds. Relive the infamous Penn State clown frenzy.

The Nittany Lions overcame a 14-point deficit against the second-ranked Buckeyes, capped off by a Marcus Allen blocked kick that was returned 60 yards by Grant Haley for the game-winning touchdown.

Penn State fans took to downtown State College for a riot following the Nittany Lions upset of Ohio State. Public property damages reached up to $30,000 with 13 individuals being charged.

Time and time again last season, Penn State seemed down and out heading into halftime. And time and time again the Nittany Lions responded in a big way in the second half — the Big Ten championship was no different. Penn State fought back from a 24-point deficit to take down Wisconsin and win its first conference championship game.

Two of the hottest teams in college football collided for the 103rd Rose Bowl game. For a while, it looked like the Nittany Lions were on their way to a win. But Southern California scored 17 unanswered points late, sealed by Matt Boermeester's 46-yard field goal to steal the game away from Penn State.

Penn State sophomore Timothy Piazza died from injuries he sustained after falling down the stairs at the Beta Theta Pi fraternity house. He was remembered by his parents, friends and the Penn State community on February 12 at Old Main. "If you can help someone, help them. Don't think about it, just help them," Piazza’s dad said during the vigil.
