HISTORY

Navarro College Mexia Campus first began offering courses on local high school campuses. In the late 1970's classes were also being held at the Mexia State School. In 1991, the old K. Wolens Department store was donated to the Navarro College Foundation. The facility, known as the Bi-Stone Center, was renovated to include classrooms and faculty offices and soon began offering both day and evening classes. By the fall of 1995, the Bi-Stone Center had approximately 400 students. By the late 90's classes were being held in the newly constructed building on Highway 14. The building was increased in size in 2004, followed by the newest addition of the 8,800 square foot building in 2014.

STRATEGIC PLAN

VISION DRIVEN:

navarro college's new BOLD vision for distinction

Our new strategic plan focuses on pursuing new markets, integrating a Bulldog Life culture and advancing technology for tomorrow.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A BULLDOG?

It means being part of a rich history and tradition that continue to shape our campus community. It's engaging in the spirit of exploration and discovery that began with our founders. Bulldogs are eager to know more about the world they live in and how they will make their mark by contributing a fresh perspective.
