Preparing for a trip to Art School? My www.zecchitreehouse.com Blog by Jodi Wahab

Do you want to become more confident in your own my artistic abilities?

“An artist cannot fail; it is a success to be one.” ~Charles Horton Cooley

Yes, most people do want more confidence if we are honest. We all want more assurance in our own artistic talent. We seek the ability to express our self through art. I have found that my education, along with my own personal experiences has definitely helped me to become a little more confident in my own art talents, but just like many of you, I too lack for enough confidence. I fear teaching art or making a career out of my art. I hope by embracing my lack of confidence thats it not a negative but serves as evidence of a need for change. we aren't defeated by our fears but that we are actually learning from those fears. I want to take my lack of confidence and embrack on a new journey to change the fears i feel into confidence. “The scariest moment is always just before you start.” ~Stephen King

“He who is not everyday conquering some fear has not learned the secret of life.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson, American essayist, lecturer, poet

“I am still learning.” – Michelangelo, Italian sculptor, painter, architect, engineer

The future Blogs will be about you and I taking the leap of learning together. I want to take the first step of achieving my own ambitions-to constantly learn, innovate, and improve. I am dedicated to this new journey of mine. Art School is the inspiration for me to Blog.

The journey for me is beginning...My first day of art school is Feb. 5, 2018. I want to be inspired by hands-on learning. Can anything really compare to a community group of artist together- instructed by a master artist- as you will be in the center of the learning experience? Its the freedom of unlocking your own potential and opening doors of inspiration. Classroom learning is what happens all around you. It’s constant. It’s hands-on. It pushes you to grow—intellectually, physically, and spiritually. And, most important, it prepares you for a lifetime of success. And since artist learn from each other this is our chance—to apply what we could learn inside the classroom through experiences to outside of it; to put our thinking to the test every day; to learn even more from each new experience; and to be ready for what comes next. I think art school will ignite creativity, connections, and personal confidence growth for me. “Art enables us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time”. ~Thomas Merton

I want to blog about this journey that is before me right now.

“I am seeking. I am striving. I am in it with all my heart.” ~Vincent van Gogh

I will share with you as I walk its path.I also ask you to take the first steps to achieving your own ambitions too.

“To create one’s world in any of the arts takes courage.” ~Georgia O’Keeffe

“Real learning gets to the heart of what it means to be human. Through learning we re-create ourselves. Through learning we become able to do something we never were able to do. Through learning we re-perceive the world and our relationship to it. Through learning we extend our capacity to create, to be part of the generative process of life. There is within each of us a deep hunger for this type of learning.” ― Peter M. Senge in The Fifth Discipline: The Art and Practice of the Learning Organization

“Learn the rules like a pro, so you can break them like an artist.” ~Pablo Picasso

“I’ve been absolutely terrified every moment of my life and I’ve never let it keep me from doing a single think that I wanted to do.” ~Georgia O’Keeffe
