Dropping masses Height

Claim: The concept learned from this expirenement is that the higher we drop the mass from the larger the crater or impact would be.
Evidence: when we kept the mass constant and changed the distance and dropped the mass from .4m the size of the crater was 2cm and when we dropped the mass from .8 cm the depth of the crater was 3.1 cm.
Explanation: GPE stands for gravitonal potiental energy. To calculate GPE height, mass and gravity to calculate the amount of potiental energy being built up. So when a mass is dropped from a higher distance then it has more time to build up gravitonal potiental energy. So the more potiental energy being built up the larger the impact will be in return.
