Good Life Nature Activity at FLMNH By: Akshay varsani

Nature on Display

Display of South Florida in FLMNH
Visiting the exhibits.

I found this exhibit of South Florida to really capture my attention because it had done such an amazing job at mimicking the environment, it had literally recreated an ecosystem which I found very impressive. I grew up in South Florida so it was an interesting feeling seeing my own home area recreated. Through this medium I was able to see how mangroves rooted itself and an estuary environment up close, I don't think another medium would be able to represent it more vividly.

Nature and Ethics

The Natural History Museum does an amazing job at representing its pieces and ideas to the audience. I think it really encourages individuals to accept nature as Leopold imagines because it places the audience right in the environment or brings nature up very close to them. This experience would allow individuals to truly connect with nature by bringing the sounds, colors and sights right up to the audience.

Nature and the Human Spirit.

The Natural History Museum help step out of our ordinary lives by the way it created different themes for each art work that matched its origin. The created a unique experience when attending a different artwork. I believe this helps us appreciate nature and all its grandiosity, by removing all the regular items we see in our lives and putting in everything one would see at a different place.
