Hemophilia

a medical condition in which the ability of the blood to clot is severely reduced, causing the sufferer to bleed severely from even a slight injury. The condition is typically caused by a hereditary lack of a coagulation factor, most often factor VIII.
Hemophilia is a bleeding disorder that slows down the blood clotting process. Which is what your body does when it bleeds to stop it. People (normally males) with severe cases experience spontaneous bleeding.
Symptoms ~ include prolonged bleeding after injury, tooth extraction, random bruising and spontaneous bleeding.
Causes ~ hemophilia is an inherited trait, a gene mutation in the x chromosome, one of the two sex chromosomes.
