Bacon was born in Suffolk, England on January 2,1647. There is not much known about his childhood. His parents were Thomas Bacon and Elizabeth Brooke Bacon. His father was a rich landowner. He was an only child. He graduated from University of Cambridge. He studied law at Gray’s Inn.

Bacon got sent to Virginia because he married Elizabeth Duke without permission. He arrived in 1674. He asked William Berkeley for a military commission. Without a reply he started killing the Indians. Berkeley was furious. He was known for his rebellion. Bacon died October 26, 1676 of dysentery.
