Walking Out on Climate Change with Gen Z

Middle and Upper School students walk out to join a movement and raise their voices for the #ClimateStrike

On Friday, September 27 Wheeler's Environmental Action Club and Advocacy, and Activism Club held a walkout in solidarity with the #ClimateStrike protests held around the world.
"We're not asking for something huge, we don't have to be Greta Thunberg, all we have to do is try. A single voice in silent crowd can go a long way." Quinn `24 speaking during the #ClimateStrike walk out.

This Week at Wheeler, we announced this year's Unity and Diversity Conference Speaker, our Upper School leaders reminded us that STEM is for everyone, and we found support and friendship through community mentors. We're excited for the most wonderful time of the year, register online for your Free Flu Vaccines (Thursday October 17th. 7 AM to 1 PM and 3 PM to 5 PM)! Big Bang Science Fair

Wheeler students and faculty joined educators and students from other schools and colleges to educate the public about the importance and joy of science and how it overlaps with arts, design, and music at the 2019 Big Bang Science Fair.

Fall Fest Is Almost Here; Volunteers Needed: Lower School Families - Fall Fest is almost here! Join us for pumpkins, hayrides, and more on October 19th from 11 am to 2 pm at the Farm. Parents and Guardians, volunteers are needed! Sign up to help with other parents and guardians in your student(s) grade. Volunteering is a great way to get to know others! UPCOMING: WSPA Social at the Providence Wine Bar The second WSPA Social of the year for parents and guardians is scheduled for October 23. This informal event is a drop-in, stay as long as you can, networking, and social opportunity. Join us at the Providence Wine Bar, 485 Angell Street, Wayland Square, Providence, 7 - 9 PM.
