The Important Stuff, Kit List

Kit List - Mandatory kit, Suggested Kit

Mandatory kit - A good Headtorch / Torch* that will last not a £3.00 disposable from… Remember even for those of you doing the 12 hour this has to last you at least 5 hours. Spare Batteries, you will be out in the dark for a long time. Whistle & Survival Bag or blanket

Suggested Kit - Vaseline or similar, you will thank us for this. Cup/mug Our events are cup-less**! Tracking your run, how will you charge your watch.

If weather conditions require it (a decision we will make) you will also need, carried or worn.

Hat and Gloves, it gets cold at night or even just hanging around

Waterproof Jacket (with hood)

Full leg cover

Think about something to just put on in between laps, its suprising how quickly you get cold! You may leave all spare kit in either a bag or box at the start / finish location.

*Each competitor must have their own, NOT one torch, between four, if you do not have your own mandatory kit you will not be starting. During the night (from dusk to dawn) you must carry all the compulsory kit. If any of your kit is deemed not fit for purpose you will need to change it. The Race Director/Marshall's word is final on this.

**Cup-Less - As a step towards zero waste at any of our events, we intent to go cup-less for the 2017 Hardcastle 24, this simply means that if you are not carrying a water bottle etc, you will need to bring some form of cup, that way, we don't have to dispose off 100's of plastic cups! Before anyone suggests we are been tight, we only pay about £1.99 /100 its simply a huge amount off waste!

BAC Outdoor Leisure, already have in stock the Hydropack Speed cup (just an example of what is available)
