To Kill a Mockingbird "Schools out for summer" Alice Cooper

Schools Out For Summer by Alice Cooper

The song "Schools Out For Summer" is about school being out, obviously. In the song, Alice Cooper says there are no more teachers giving you dirty looks. It also says there are no more pencils. In my opinion, that means there is no more work and no more being told to do anything. I chose "Schools Out For Summer" because it reminds me of the Ewell family since they only go to school for one day and don't come back. The Ewells never do any school work. The song also remind me of Scout Finch because she loves reading with her dad. Scout gets yelled at almost everyday by either a teacher or another student when she is in school. Scout would get yelled at for being taught at home by her dad and being a head of the class. Scout would be happy when schools out because she doesn't have to deal with teachers yelling at her. She also doesn't have to deal with all the mean kids that pick on her.

Well we got no choice

All the girls and boys

Makin' all that noise

'Cause they found new toys

Well we can't salute ya can't find a flag

If that don't suit ya that's a drag

School's out for summer

School's out forever

School's been blown to pieces

No more pencils no more books

No more teacher's dirty looks yeah

Well we got no class

And we got no principals

And we got no innocence

We can't even think of a word that rhymes

School's out for summer

School's out forever

My school's been blown to pieces

No more pencils no more books

No more teacher's dirty looks

Out for summer

Out till fall

We might not come back at all

School's out forever

School's out for summer

School's out with fever

School's out completely

I picked the first picture because it shows kids that are happy. Same with the second and third pictures. The kids are happy because they are out of school and don't have to deal with the teachers, other students and homework.

I chose the fourth picture because it shows a classroom. The classroom has no kids or teachers in it which means schools out. Whether it be for the day or the summer or the rest of eternity. The class is empty so no more work!
