Charles Montell a locally based artist who grew up in the inner city with a love of various forms of art. From Klimpt to Kaws the artist has been inspired by the simple idea to express and create. Concentrating on street art, large scaled murals, grati and contemporary art, the artist style has often been described as a “rendered collage” or “mind style ” and is meant to visually take the viewer on a journey of a combination of rendered images that have been said to be sometimes comfortable or familiar or at times uneasy, questioned and unknown. Currently working in the advertising and marketing eld as a graphic artist, designer and illustrator, the artist is still focused on what he considers his “rst love”, expression through drawing and painting.
