India & Yoga changed me into the artist I am today.
In 1970 I made the first of many 3-4 month trips to India. This first trip, in 1970, was to live and train with my American Yoga teacher, Alice Christensen, and her guru... a great Yoga Master by the name of Swami Rama. For many months we lived an intense daily life of Yoga & Meditation, beginning each day before dawn. We lived in his small classic ashram right on the banks of the Ganges River in the outer foothills of the Himalayas north of Haridwar.
It was this very first experience in India that began to change my life and career in ways I could hardly have imagined in my early 20's.
Nearly 40 years later, and after many return trips to India, here in this photo above you see me in 2007, at 13,000+ feet altitude in the heart of the Ganges Himalayas.
