How Chili are You? Cook-off
Saturday, 11am - 1pm with People's Choice winner pulled at 1pm. Enter to win your bragging rights!
To enter: sign up by calling (603) 237-8939 today. You will need to bring enough for about 100 individual 3 ounce samples to be judged. You are responsible for heating and serving your entry; outlets are available.
To be a judge, simply show up and taste some great chili recipes! Because who doesn't love a warming chili on a crisp winter day?
Never skated before? Don't worry, it's the perfect opportunity to try it! We'll have outdoor ice skating as long as the weather cooperates. There will also be skates for use, free of charge, on Saturday.
Skates are donated on Saturday by the Colebrook Recreation Center in downtown Colebrook, NH. The Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital is assisting the Rec Center with transport and storage by donating their van as well.
Tubes have been donated by Jeffers Sand & Gravel so that the kids (and the kid in each of us!) will have something to do while mom and dad are testing new snowmobiles or out for a peaceful snowshoe.
It's a great way to burn off some energy too - or work up your appetite pre-chili tasting!
Activities this year will include a Groomer Rodeo (try before you buy), drag races brought to Snofest by Rock The Hills Racing, Antique and Vintage Snowmobile Display & Show, and $10 demos for the NEW toys provided by Arctic Cat, Ski-Doo, and Polaris! More details are on the GoNorth Snofest site.
3 Locations: Coleman State Park, Coleman Lodges, and the SDR Club House, all right on Diamond Pond Road in Stewartstown, NH.
There will be buses running between the event areas, so you won't have to worry about where to park. Just follow the signs and we'll take it from there.
Admission is FREE for the event. However, some activities such as demo rides have individual costs ($10 to demo).
The event is hosted by: The North Country Chamber of Commerce, Canaan Border Riders, Colebrook Ski-Bees, Pittsburg Ridge Runners & Swift Diamond Riders.

Luckily, there was a small patch of snow about an inch thick behind the condo we were staying at where we could do some sledding. This was great for the little children who were with us. This photo manages to capture the pure joy of a child who is seeing and playing in snow for the first time in her life. A reminder that the conditions may not be perfect, but a child-like mindset can make anything seem like a grand adventure." • grandadventures - "snowmobile snowmobile rentals colorado day trips from" • freddebackman - "scooter snowmobile blue"
