La fotografia per me è incontro, scambio, testimonianza, ricordo, cura. Photography for me is encounter, exchange, testimony, memory, care.

In questi giorni apparentemente sospesi ma in realtà densi di emozioni ci stiamo rendendo conto dell'importanza di una telefonata, di una buona parola, di un “come stai?” detto al momento giusuto. In una parola: delle relazioni. Da questo sentire mi è venuta l'idea di continuare a fare quello che stavo facendo, comunicare e creare rapporti sinceri di scambio attraverso la fotografia. Ho cominciato a fare ritratti attraverso lo schermo a persone lontane: un “Ritratto a Distanza”.

In these days apparently suspended but actually full of emotions we are realizing the importance of a phone call, of a good word, of a "how are you?" said at the right moment. In a word: the importance relationships. From this feeling came to me the idea of continuing to do what I was doing, communicate and create sincere exchange through photography. I started making portraits through the screen to distant people: a "Remote Portrait".

A (virtual) meeting between isolated people, everyone in their own homes. We make an appointment, we get to know each other, they show me your house, I lead you in the pose, and click! I take your picture.
