The Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press provides pro bono legal representation, amicus curiae support, and other legal resources to protect First Amendment freedoms and the newsgathering rights of journalists.
CLIENT HIGHLIGHTS
For the second year, RCFP retained my services to create event collaterals for their annual awards dinner – including print and video materials.
Event Graphics
The look for the 2019 Freedom of the Press Awards Dinner was based on the unique, cohesive design from the 2018 event. With a move to a new venue – The Ziegfeld Ballroom – I updated the design to have an art deco feel similar to the space.
This was utilized across all materials, including the save-the-date, sponsorship brochure, invitations, letterhead, program, signage, and digital journal.
Videos
With five honorees receiving awards at the dinner this year, Reporters Committee wanted to control the timing of the introductions by having pre-produced videos for each recipient. With 5-8 interviews per video, they also gave a more rounded story as to why they were receiving the award.
Interviews were conducted in New York City, Washington DC, Boston and Chicago, where I served as a one-person crew. I also edited all of the videos.
