Benefits from exchanges

Students benefit from exchanges as they learn about different cultures, traditions and how people across the world live and learn. Schools in different parts of the world educate in different ways and this lets the students find what is best for them. Exchanges can make people get out of their comfort zones as they are travelling alone and staying with someone they don't know about. After this experience, students can create a lifelong friendship with their exchange student and become more aware of another way of living in other cultures as well as gain more independence, maturity and freedom.

why it is a positive experience & How they learn

This is a positive experience for students as they take part in different cultural activities and can see the other side of the world. Students get to experience things that they wouldn't be able to before, as well as meet new people and make new friendships. Students create many memories and become more and feel closer to the Sacred Heart schools and network. This experience can help students become more independent and mature since travelling alone.

Exchanges are a learning experience for students as they develop and strengthen their skills which can help them in the future by learning how to travel without their parents. Being in another country, students experience different things to what they have at home. Their school may educate and have different timetables, have a different lunch set up or different subject choices. Students will learn about and hopefully even experience different cultures and traditions.
