The Adventures of Andre and Wally B was one of the first animated features to ever be made and released, published in 1984.
Pixar's Toy Story's successful release in 1995 was a huge success, leading to the creation of more studios like Dreamworks Animation and Illumination Entertainment later down the line
Following the release of Toy Story in 1995, the public interest in computer animated features was sparked and Pixar began work on more animated films, such as Finding Nemo and The Incredibles, which were both highly successful
Dreamworks was also quite a successful independent studio, with their more popular initial releases being Shrek in 2001, and Madagascar in 2005
Illumination Entertainment recently emerged in 2007, with its newest releases such as Despicable Me, The Lorax and Secret Life of Pets earning more than $500m USD each
