Okay, so it seems to me that many of you have not seen a lot of great movies. This needs to be dealt with. Lucky for you I am here to save the day. Here are the essentials.
Andy Dufresne (Tim Robbins) is sentenced to two consecutive life terms in prison for the murders of his wife and her lover and is sentenced to a tough prison. However, only Andy knows he didn't commit the crimes. While there, he forms a friendship with Red (Morgan Freeman), experiences brutality of prison life, adapts, helps the warden, etc., all in 19 years.
If you haven't seen The Shawshank Redemption, y'all should hop on that. Though a dark and brutal movie at times, Shawshank has one of the best adaptive screenplays ever put to film, Morgan Freeman's best performance, and great direction by Frank Darabont. This is truly a movie that should not be missed.
1. Shaun of The Dead follows Shaun, a zombie like loser, who's everyday is the same. Until the People of London start turning into zombies and Shaun must team up with his best mate Ed to save his love life, Family, and friends in this Romantic comedy with Zombies.
2. Hot Fuzz follows a British constable (Simon Pegg) who feels certain foul play is afoot when a series of grisly accidents rocks his quiet village in this buddy cop movie.
3. The Worlds End follows a group of friends who discover an alien invasion during an epic pub crawl in their home town.
I will be back with another volume every week.
