The St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) will open their eighth season in program history under recently announced head coach Adam Brugnengo on Saturday, September 1 hosting Hunter College at Aviator Field.
A packed early schedule features seven tests in 12 days and the Bears playing nine-straight non-league games to prepare for the gauntlet of the Skyline Conference schedule—their fourth year in the league. The Bears will head to Staten Island (Sep. 3) on Labor Day before hosting Baruch (Sep. 5) at Randall's Island. The navy and gray then heads east to Patchogue to face York College (Sep. 8) and future Skyline rival Manhattanville (Sep. 9) in a weekend tournament hosted by sibling campus, SJC Long Island.
After the first ever meeting against Clinton Hill neighbors Pratt (Sep. 11), the Bears will make trips to the Garden State to face NJAC foes Kean (Sep. 12) and New Jersey City (Sep. 19) and a trip to Pennsylvania to take on Valley Forge (Sep. 15) in their final tune-ups before commencing league play.
Skyline Conference action begins on September 22 with a road game against Mount Saint Vincent and then a tough home test versus defending champs Mount Saint Mary (Sep. 26). The Bears will host league rivals Farmingdale State (Sep. 29), Maritime (Oct. 6), Yeshiva (Oct. 16), and Old Westbury (Oct. 21) as part of their eight-game home slate this season, which will be split between Aviator Field and Randall's Island.
The top six teams will vie for the Skyline Conference's automatic berth to the NCAA Division III Championship when first-round action begins on Saturday, October 27. Semifinal round will take place on October 31 with the league champion crowned on November 3.
