Harry Potter and The Cursed Child

“Those we love never truly leave us, Harry. There are things that death cannot touch.” ― Jack Thorne, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child - Parts One and Two

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child was written by JK Rowling, Jack Thorne, and John Tiffany on July 30 2016. JK Rowling the main author wrote an entire series about Harry Potter that has made her wealthy and famous beyond her wildest dreams. She is the 13 most wealthy woman in the world, that means she’s wealthier than the Queen.

This book is set at Hogwarts, the school of wizardry. The main characters is Albus Potter, Harry Potter’s son. Albus is troubled but makes friends with Draco Malfoy’s son Scorpius.

Scorpius was a smart boy, but an outcast. His only friend being Albus, and most people rejecting him.

I did not love the author's writing style, considering it was a screenplay put into book form. So it was not in the detail Harry Potter is usually in. Therefore there was not the little intricate details that are in the book.

Even though it was a screenplay, and not a detailed book I still really liked it because I love the Harry Potter series. It was really cool to be reading Harry Potter again. Not to mention in the story itself all of the old characters come back. Like Hermoine, Ron, Draco, and even Severus.

The authors message about life is to always be kind. Not everything in life is going to make sense to you, but you have to be compassionate and try to have empathy towards everyone.

The POV for most of the story is first person through Albus Potter.
