Jacques Cartier and his expiditions

Jacques Cartier was born on December 31, 1491, in Saint-Malo, Brittany, France
He was sent by King Francis the first from France to the New World in search of riches and a new route to Asia.
Jacques Cartier explored the Americas, particularly Brazil, before making three major North American voyages.
Cartier was going there to search for gold and other riches, spices, and a passage to Asia.
His voyage's effect on the natives was not that good. he even took 2 of them captive as a guide through the St.Lawrence
He departed on his first voyage in 1532 and his 3rd and final voyage to the Americas was in 1541
He had 3 voyages in his lifetime. His first voyage started on april 20, 1534. when he got back he was then sent on his second voyage. he was sent on his third voyage may of 1541.
