The children of Sierra Leone, part 2

Last November I found myself returning to Sierra Leone, in western Africa, to carry on the much needed work of providing sustainable eyecare solutions to the country. And once again, I met children, thousands of them, as an important part of the project for this trip involved school screening.

Their lives are hard, by whatever measure you judge these things, but their resilience and desire to learn cannot be quashed.

They want to grow up to be doctors, school teachers, policemen, lawyers.
