The reopening of the Silk Road helped sparked the Renaissance by helping increase trade with Asia. Marco Polo helped this by creating interest in Asia. "Polo's description of Asia made many Europeans curious about Asia. As their curiosity grew, people began to demand goods from Asia"(Holt 300). This proves that Marco Polo helped increase trade with Asia. In conclusion, Marco Polo helped spark the Renaissance.
