Dear Parents,
When children were little the Easter bunny sometimes visited a house on Saturday morning, the day before Easter Sunday. Or Children hunt eggs for fun on Easter Sunday. However, This is one of our church attempts to help teach our children that Easter is not about the Easter bunny and the play of eggs hunting but is about the death and resurrection of our Savior Jesus Christ. LJV(Little Jesus Village) tried to reserve Easter Sunday for showing gratitude for the resurrection.
Parents are to share the Easter story and the meaning of an object in a plastic egg with this Easter scripture egg activity at the dinner table on Easter Sunday. I give one plastic egg to your children and inside of each egg is a scripture and an object to represent something that happened during the last week of our Savior’s life leading up the resurrection.
Usually, after parents have eaten dinner or brunch, parents will sit around the table and take turns opening an egg and reading the scripture and sharing the object, that is inside, what it means.

부활절 행사로 전날에 부활절 토끼가 찾아와 집에 선물이나 캔디등을 숨겨놓으면 그것을 아이들이 집에서 찾는다거나 또는 교회에서 부활절 행사로 에그헌팅을 합니다. 그러나 아이들이 부활절의 중요한 의미보다는 아이들 눈에는 행사에 참여하는 재미성 이벤트의 날로 로 끝날수가 있습니다.
저의 시온장로교회에서는 부활절 행사를 진행하면서 아이들한테 부활절이 부활절토끼나 계란찾기 게임의 이벤트의 날이 아니라 크리스챤 아이들이 마치 주님을 기다리는 예비된 영혼(숨겨진 계란) 에그헌팅하면서 찾고 우리 사랑하는 아이들한테 부활절은 주님의 십자가의 못밖히심과 주님의 부활하심을 생각하고 묵상하는 날이 되기를 소망해봅니다.
그래서 부활절날에 저희 리틀 지저스 빌리지에서 우리 아이들이 주님의 십자가의 죽으심과 부활을 부모님과 같이 더 생각해볼수 있는 시간을 계획했습니다.
부활절날에 에그헌팅 끝나고 아이들한테 각각 6개의 프라스틱 계란을 나누어 줄겁니다. 각 계란안에는 주님의 말씀과 주님이 십자가에 못박히시기 전 마지막 주 중에 사용되었던 물건중 하나가 들어 있습니다. 부활절날 저녁식사가 끝나시면 아이들과 같이 테이블에 앉아서 주님이 말씀을 다 같이 읽고 그 스토리를 아이들한테 가르쳐주세요! 그리고 그 사용된 물건의 의미에 대해서 가족원들과 나누는 시간을 가졌으면 좋겠습니다. 그러면 아이들이 주님의 십자가의 죽으심과 부활의 의미를 계속해서 생각해 볼것입니다.

#4 Soap (=Do we wash our hands?)
When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye to it. Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children. Then released he Barabbas unto them: and when he had scourged Jesus, he delivered him to be crucified. Matthew 27: 24-26; Do we also wash our hands?

"빌라도가 아무 효험도 없이 도리어 민란이 나려는 것을 보고 물을 가져다가 무리 앞에서 손을 씻으며 가로되 이 사람의 피에 대하여 나는 무죄하니 너희가 당하라 백성이 다 대답하여 가로되 그 피를 우리와 우리 자손에게 돌릴지어다 하거늘 이에 바라바는 저희에게 놓아주고 예수는 채찍질하고 십자가에 못박히게 넘겨주니라" 마태복음 27:24-26

#5 빨간 옷자락 (=주님의 피로 물든 빨간옷)
"그의 옷을 벗기고 홍포를 입히며 가시 면류관을 엮어 그 머리에 씌우고 갈대를 그 오른손에 들리 고 그 앞에서 무릎을 꿇고 희롱하여 가로되 유대인의 왕이여 평안할지어다 하며 그에게 침 뱉고 갈대를 빼앗아 그의 머리를 치더라" 마태복음 27:28-30
#6 One small nail (a nailed to the cross)
And after that they had mocked him, they took the robe off from him, and put his own raiment on him, and led him away to crucify him. And as they came out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name: him they compelled to bear his cross. Matthew 27: 31-32 And He was crucified… nailed to the cross. (Press this nail into your hand … feel how it must have hurt.)

"희롱을 다한 후 홍포를 벗기고 도로 그의 옷을 입혀 십자가에 못 박으려고 끌고 나가니라 나가다가 시몬이란 구레네 사람을 만나매 그를 억지로 같이 가게 하여 예수의 십자가를 지웠더라" 마태복음 27:31-32
주님은 십자가에서 죽으시고 못박히셨습니다.(주님을 생각하면서 조그만 못으로 본인 손바닥을 찔러보고 얼마나 아픈지를 느껴보세요)
