Active Voice

Passive Voice

Passive Voice: the subject is the receiver of the action. Passive= Verb Phrase

The present was given to the kid.

The sound of reindeer hooves on the roof was heard by him.

Progressive Tense

Progressive

Be+present participle

Forms of be: Am, is, are, was, were, and will be

He will be delivering presents on the day of Christmas.

We are prepping the tree for Santa.

Perfect Tense

Perfect

Have+ past participle

Forms of Have: has, had, and will have.

We had planned this night for weeks.

We will have played with toys by the end of the day.

Subjunctive Mood

Subjunctive: If, whether, should, would, suggest, recommend, that, wish, and desire.

If I were you I would decorate a little.

Imperative Mood

Imperative: A command

Go set up the Christmas houses and the ornaments.

Indicative(Question)

Will Santa visit us tonight?

Emphatic Mood

Emphatic: Do

I do hope Christmas comes soon.
