I think China has the harshest punishments hands down because most of their crimes are punishable by the death penalty. The take crimes seriously.

The United States had the softest punishments because most of them were just minimum prison or jail sentences or small fines. We are the worlds most looked at country so our punishments cannot be that harsh.

Do you think that the united states punishes properly? Does our system punish consistently?

No I don't think the United States punishes properly, it should have harsher punishments for crimes. Our system does not punish consistently.
