Black Mountain Elementary School Preparing students for the global stage

Welcome to Kindertown

Steps continue to be made towards the completion of our Kindertown. The kids are having a blast riding the tricycles around the track. Next up, signage for the storefronts.

Send your kids to school! No-Keep your kids home!

We don’t miss that many days!

Missing only a few days is way harder to make up than parents often realize. The chart below illustrates how days missed equals lessons missed.

While some work may be able to be made up, the vast majority of what a child does during the day does not translate into a worksheet to be completed at a later time. They may make up some of the work but they will never make up the learning missed.

What if my child is sick?

If your child has thrown up or had a fever in the last 24 hours, KEEP THEM HOME! While we do not want our kids to miss school, we also do not want the rest of their classmates to become ill. If they have thrown up or had a fever, keep them home and get them better. We want them back as soon as possible!
