Millard West 1, Lincoln East 13

Millard West Wildcats Varsity fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 13-1 loss to Lincoln East on Monday. Jayda Van Ackeren started the game for Millard West Wildcats Varsity. Belle Akins threw one inning out of the bullpen. Offensively, the Wildcats had 5 hits from Reese Peterson, Bella Bacon, Hannah Roberts, Riley Kramolisch, and Ava Rongisch.

Millard West 6, Gretna 11

Millard West Wildcats Varsity Falls To Gretna After Intense High-Scoring Game. The Wildcats put up five runs in the sixth inning. Emma Van Boskirk, Reese Peterson, Riley Kramolisch, and Jayci Reimers all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.Hannah Roberts went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Millard West Wildcats Varsity in hits. Jayda Van Ackeren led things off in the pitcher's circle for Millard West Wildcats Varsity striking out five. Belle Akins threw one inning out of the bullpen.

Millard West 13, Bellevue West 2

Eight runs in the second inning led Millard West Wildcats Varsity past Bellevue West 13-2 on Saturday. Millard West Wildcats Varsity's big inning was driven by home runs by Jayci Reimers and Emma Van Boskirk. Delaney Richardson, Bella Bacon, Hannah Roberts, Reimers, and Van Boskirk all contributed in the big inning with RBIs. Jayda Van Ackeren led the Millard West Wildcats Varsity to victory in the pitcher's circle. She went four innings, allowing two runs on four hits, striking out three and walking zero.

Millard West 5, Papillion-LaVista South 6

Millard West Wildcats Varsity's effort to come back from down five runs in the seventh inning came up just short, as they fell 6-5 to Papillion-LaVista South on Saturday. The Wildcats scored four runs in the failed comeback on a single by Bella Bacon, a double by Hannah Roberts, and a double by Jayci Reimers. Millard West Wildcats Varsity saw the ball well today, racking up nine hits in the game. Delaney Richardson and Roberts each managed multiple hits for Millard West Wildcats Varsity. Richardson went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Millard West Wildcats Varsity in hits. Jayda Van Ackeren was on the rubber for Millard West Wildcats Varsity. She allowed ten hits and six runs over seven innings, striking out five.

JV

Millard West 3, Lincoln East 2

Millard West JV was down 2-1 in the bottom of the fourth inning when Masyn Bunnell singled on a 2-1 count, scoring two runs for the walk off. The pitching was strong on both sides. Belle Akins struck out seven. Offensively, Lily McCrae, Reagan Hofbaur, Masyn Bunnell, and Ella McNew.

CROSS COUNTRY

The boys varsity cross country team placed 1st at the 2nd Covid Conference Meet at Walnut Creek on Saturday, September 12.

The girls varsity cross country team placed 3rd at Walnut Creek on Saturday, September 12. The team is back in action on Thursday, September, 17 at Pioneers Park in Lincoln.

The Wildcats went to Lincoln Tuesday night to battle Lincoln Northeast and #9 ranked Lincoln High in a triangular.

MW won the first match-up against Lincoln NE, 25-13, 25-13

MW won the end match-up against Lincoln High, 25-16, 25-12

JV Cats went 2-0

Reserve Cats went 1-1

Freshman Cats went 2-0

Millard West 2, Lincoln Northeast 0

After a slow start, the girls dominated in the second set to take the match, 2-0. Riley Jenkin led the way with 6 kills and 8 service aces, followed by Rory Sinnett with 4 kills. Skyler Walters did a good job running the offense and also contributed 4 service aces.

Millard West 2, Lincoln High 0

Riley Jenkin led the way with 6 kills, followed by Rory Sinnett with 5, and Gwen Stocker and Campbell Macy each with 4 kills. Jenkin and Sinnett also recorded 2 service aces. Lincoln High was a scrappy opponent and gave Millard West some issues, but they overcame them to win the match in 2.
