How To Make King Ranch Chicken Casserole By: Alexis Herrera

-Items-

  • A 9”x13” Cooking Pan
  • A 22 & 23cm kitchen pot
  • Solid spoon
  • Two plates
  • Knife

-Ingredients-

  • Deboned Pre-Cooked shredded Chicken
  • 12 Corn Tortillas
  • Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • Two cans of Condensed Milk
  • Two cans of Cream of Chicken
  • One can of Cream of Mushroom
  • One stick of Butter
  • Onion Powder (For Taste)
  • Diced Tomatoes (Optional)

-Oven-

  • Preheat oven to 350°

-Instructions-

  • Step one: Cut the shredded Chicken into small bite-sized pieces. Tear the Corn Tortilla into small pieces as well. We want to make sure they cook well in the oven.
  • Step two: Make sure you have your pot ready. You will be putting both of your cans of condensed milk, the two cans of Cream of Chicken, diced Chicken, one can of Cream of Mushroom. You will set it on the burner at two. When it gets warm as fresh food feels, it’s ready for mixing.
  • Step three: Mix it all until you think it’s mixed enough, usually stirring for approximately five minutes or so does it well.
  • Step four: Remember your portions, this is important. You will be layering for this process, you may do this Four to Five times. You will pour in a little of what you have in the pot into the 9”x13” pan, you will pour enough to see a small layer on there. Flatten your layer, it is strongly recommended to get your portions as equal as possible.
  • Step five: Once you have your first layer in the 9”x13” pan, put in a layer of your shredded Corn Tortillas. Once you have a layer of that in there, repeat steps three and four until you have run out of shredded Corn Tortillas and your mix from the bowl. If there’s more of one than another, just put it all in the cooking pan.
  • Step six: Once you have completed your layering, you will then place your cooking tray into the oven. Your oven will be at 350°, your mix will be in there for 40 minutes. This may vary depending on how well it does. If it needs more time, that is okay. It should come out as partially runny, but not excessively runny.
  • Step seven: Once the 40 minutes is up, take the cooking tray out of the oven. Place it on top of a surface so it can cool off, this process usually takes five to seven minutes to cool off.
  • Step eight: I hope you have your shredded cheese ready. If you want you can place it on top of the king ranch chicken. Putting Diced Tomatoes is also an option.
  • Enjoy!
