State: The Carlsbad Caverns are in the state of New Mexico.
Located: The Caverns are located in Chihuahuan Desert.
History: Early visitors descended to the caves via an old mining bucket. In 1923, President Calvin Coolidge proclaimed Carlsbad Caverns a National Monument and, in 1930, the Carlsbad Caverns National Park was established.
Things you can see/do: You can see Lake Carlsbad, Sitting Bull's Falls,Carlsbad Water Park, you can see bats fly at Carlsbad Caverns, and You can go hiking,
Unique: This National Park's primary attraction is the show cave. There is an animal called troglobites.
Save The Park: The caverns have a litter problem and would like that to stop. There are a number of activities carried out on the surface by non-cavers that can threaten a cave.
