Delaware is the first state in USA
The state bird is the Blue Hen Chicken. The state flower is the Peach Blossom. The state insect is the tiger swallowtail butterfly.
The state capital is Dover. And the largest state is Wilmington.
Joseph Biden Jr. was elected vice president of the United States in 2008. (The one in at the top.) Thomas Garrett was an antislavery activist. He helped more than 2,000 slaves escape through the Underground Railroad. (The one on the bottom right.) John Phillips Marquand wrote novels about wealthy New Englanders. (The one on the bottom left)

This is Rehoboth Beach, it is one of Delaware's most popular beaches. It lies along the Rehoboth Bay in the southeastern part of the state.

This is Fort Delaware, it is on Pea Patch in the Delaware River housed prisoners in the Civil War. Fort Delaware had rooms for about 10,000 prisoners.

This is Zwaanendael Museum, it is in Lewes in southern Delaware honors the state's first settlement, founded by Dutch in 1631.

Fun Fact: There is 1,100,000 tons of garbage each year and 27% of recycled. And fresh water is 1,540 gallons/day/person (average)
