This year’s NFL Draft was held on April 27-29 in the city of Philadelphia, home of the Philadelphia Eagles. Philadelphia hosted the draft, which was dramatically situated in an outdoor theater built on the “Rocky Steps” in front of the Philadelphia Museum of Art. It was the first time an entire NFL draft was held outdoors. Eagles fans turned out in a massive way and only seemed to root for their own, raining boos on all who represented “away” teams, as well as Commissioner Roger Goodell. The atmosphere appeared to be charged with fanatic energy that even though hostile, can be very positive for this game.
For players, teams, league officials and devoted fans, draft days take place amidst hopes, dreams and fantasies of millions as we all look forward to our favorite teams making selections that will bring visions of victory – sugar plums dancing into the end zones that will carry us to a gazillion wins and ultimately, the Super Bowl. Draft day is when the preparation meets opportunity to produce success. Potential recruits wait to hear their names called to live in a different world and begin to experience the gleeful madness that up to this point has been their ultimate goal. Now tasked with the assignment to put in the time and effort to become a world champion, they and their families are moved to the front lines as fans in their new homes.
What better way to celebrate your newfound success than by decorating areas in your home and living spaces with NFL team décor. Draft day can be a milestone that you use as a starting point for change at your house. You can show your interest and loyalty for your team and favorite players by decorating rooms and spaces in your home with professional sports themed décor. Decorating with professional sports themed décor is achieved by mixing paint, furniture and decorative items with team logos and colors to create a living space that is aesthetically pleasing to you. Bedrooms, kitchens, bathrooms, “Man Caves”, home bars, entertainment rooms/basements, and any other space in the house can be decorated to show your interest in your favorite sport, team and/or athlete. You can even decorate the exterior of your home and/or your garage to show your loyalty.
